Data Privacy Policy

Our website may be used without entering personal information. Different rules may apply to certain services on our site, however, and are explained separately below. We collect personal information from you (e.g. name, address, email address, telephone number, etc.) in accordance with the provisions of German data protection statutes. Information is considered personal if it can be associated exclusively to a specific natural person. The legal framework for data protection may be found in the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), the Telemedia Act (TMG) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The provisions below serve to provide information as to the manner, extent and purpose for collecting, using and processing personal information by the provider. Please be aware that data transfer via the internet is subject to security risks and, therefore, complete protection against third-party access to transferred data cannot be ensured.

  • Information / Cancellation / Deletion

On the basis of the Federal Data Protection Act, you may contact us at no cost if you have questions relating to the collection, processing or use of your personal information, if you wish to request the correction, blocking or deletion of the same, or if you wish to cancel explicitly granted consent. Please note that you have the right to have incorrect data corrected or to have personal data deleted, where such claim is not barred by any legal obligation to retain this data.

  • Server Data

For technical reasons, data such as the following, which your internet browser transmits to us or to our web space provider (so called server log files), is collected: - type and version of the browser you use - operating system - websites that linked you to our site (referrer URL) - websites that you visit - date and time of your visit - your Internet Protocol (IP) address. This anonymous data is stored separately from any personal information you may have provided, thereby making it impossible to connect it to any particular person. The data is used for statistical purposes in order to improve our website and services.

  • Contacting Us

On our website we offer you the opportunity to contact us by email. In such event, information provided by the user is stored for the purpose of facilitating communications with the user. No data is transferred to third parties. Nor is any of this information matched to any information that may be collected by other components of our website.

  • Publication of vacancy announcements / job applications

We electronically collect and process your application data for the purpose of completing the application process. If your application results in the conclusion of an employment contract, the data collected from you may be stored in your personnel file for purposes of normal organizational and administrative processes in compliance with appropriate legal requirements. Upon rejection of your application, data you have provided is automatically deleted two months after notification of rejection. This does not apply in such instances where, due to legal requirements (such as the burden of proof obligation stipulated in the Equal Treatment Act) a longer storage period is necessitated or when you expressly agreed to have your data stored for a longer period in our database of prospective applicants.

  • Use of Google Maps

We use the “Google Maps” component of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA, hereinafter “Google.” Google sets a cookie in order to process the user configuration and data when the page with the integrated “Google Maps” component is displayed. As a general rule, this cookie is not deleted by closing the browser, but rather expires after a certain time, as long as it is not previously manually deleted by you. If you do not agree with this processing of your data, you may choose to deactivate the “Google Maps” service and thereby prevent the transfer of data to Google. To do this, you must deactivate the Java Script function in your browser. However, we would like to point out that in this case you will not be able to use “Google Maps” or at least only to a limited extent. The use of “Google Maps” and the information obtained through “Google Maps” is according to Google’s Terms of Use http://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/terms/regional.html as well as the additional Terms and Conditions for "Google Maps" https://www.google.com/intl/de_de/help/terms_maps.html.

This preliminary version of the privacy policy will remain in effect until the final version has been legally verified.

Disclaimer of liability

  1. Contents of the online offer

The author reserves the right not to be responsible for the topicality, correctness, completeness or quality of the information provided. Liability claims against the author, which refer to material or non-material damage caused by the use or non-use of the information provided or by the use of incorrect and incomplete information, are fundamentally excluded, provided that there is no demonstrably intentional or grossly negligent fault on the part of the author.
All offers are subject to confirmation and non-binding. Parts of the pages or the complete publication including all offers and information might be extended, changed or partly or completely deleted by the author without separate announcement.

  2. References and links

For direct or indirect references to external websites ("hyperlinks") that lie outside the author's area of responsibility, a liability obligation would only become effective if the author is aware of the contents and it would be technically possible and reasonable for him to prevent usage in the event of unlawful content.
The author hereby expressly declares that at the time of setting the links, no illegal content was discernible on the linked pages. The author has no influence whatsoever on the current and future design, content or authorship of the linked pages. Therefore, he hereby expressly distances himself from all contents of all linked pages that were changed after the link was set up. This statement applies to all links and references set within the author's own Internet offer as well as to external entries in guest books, discussion forums, link directories, mailing lists and all other forms of databases set up by the author, to whose content external write access is possible. Liability for illegal, incorrect or incomplete content and in particular for damages that arise from the use or non-use of such information shall lie solely with the provider of the page to which reference was made and not the party that merely referred to the publication in question via links.

  3. Copyright and trademark rights

The author endeavours to observe the copyrights of the images, graphics, sound documents, video sequences and texts used in all publications, to use his own images, graphics, sound documents, video sequences and texts or to make use of license-free graphics, sound documents, video sequences and texts.
All brand names and trademarks mentioned on the website and possibly protected by third parties are unrestrictedly subject to the provisions of the respectively valid trademark law and the ownership rights of the respective registered owners. The mere mentioning of trademarks does not imply that they are not protected by the rights of third parties!
The copyright for published objects created by the author himself remains solely with the author of the pages. Any duplication or use of objects such as diagrams, sounds or texts in other electronic or printed publications is not permitted without the author's agreement.

  4. Data protection

Insofar as it is possible to enter personal or business data (e-mail addresses, names, addresses) within the Internet offer, the disclosure of this data by the user is expressly on a voluntary basis. The use and payment of all offered services is permitted - as far as technically possible and reasonable - without specification of such data or under specification of anonymised data or a pseudonym. The use by third parties of contact data such as postal addresses, telephone and fax numbers as well as e-mail addresses published in the legal notice or similar information for the purpose of sending unsolicited information is not permitted. We expressly reserve the right to take legal action against senders of so-called spam mails in the event of violations of this prohibition.

  5. Legal validity of this disclaimer

This disclaimer is to be regarded as part of the Internet offer from which reference was made to this page. If sections or individual terms of this statement are not legal or correct, the content or validity of the other parts remain uninfluenced by this fact.
